The story of Dave & Buster’s began back in 1982 with two entrepreneurial friends, David Corriveau and James “Buster” Corley. They decided to open up their own restaurant and entertainment space in Dallas, Texas. Corriveau had previously founded an entertainment complex called Cash McCool’s, while Corley ran a bar called Buster’s in Arkansas.
Together they came up with the idea for Dave & Buster’s – a place that combined great American food, drinks, and games all under one roof. Starting in a 40,000-square-foot warehouse, that first Dave & Buster’s location was a hit. Over the next ten years, Dave & Buster’s slowly grew by opening new locations nationwide.
